Goloso (go·ló·so): sweet tooth

Gelataio Niccolo Ceccarelli was born and raised a proud Fiorentino in the birthplace of the Renaissance. His intense love of history, beauty and Italian culture are at the core of his being. Nicco will admit that his chef abilities were far from what one would consider “exceptional” back then, but life threw him a curve ball the day he met his future American wife.

Nicco followed Jessica back to the states, where he ended up working in kitchens for some of Atlanta’s top chefs - Angus Brown & Nhan Lee as well as Ford Fry. He realized that he enjoyed cooking, but he really wanted to make something meaningful to him. He ended up working at Voga Italian Gelato as their head chef, where they were awarded Travel & Leisure Magazine’s 2019 “Best Ice Cream in Georgia” title.

Nicco discovered a passion for creating this frozen treat, which rumor has it, was originally developed in his home town of Florence for Caterina de’ Medici. He enjoys playing with unique flavors, using only the best quality and freshest ingredients. Nicco hopes to share his love of gelato and Italy with the world.
